Activant introduces versatile new business tool
DynaChange™ Rules, the next generation toolset for Activant’s Prophet 21® software application, is now available from Activant Solutions. This versatile tool provides a business rule engine that allows Prophet 21 users to insert their own business logic into the Prophet 21 code base without altering the application code itself.

Modern Supply promotes water efficiency

REHAU forms strategic alliance with Climate Automation Systems
REHAU has established a strategic alliance with Climate Automation Systems (CAS) to market the new, web-enabled REHAU Smart Controls system. This advanced interior comfort control system will facilitate the integrated operation of residential building technologies, including radiant heating and cooling systems and solar and renewable energy sources, to promote an optimal balance of comfort and energy efficiency.
The strategic alliance unites the foundational engineering capabilities of REHAU with the climate automation software development competence of CAS, particularly with the company’s ENV system. The system is designed to interface with weather service data and automatically adjust settings in anticipation of predicted weather condition changes. It will also provide immediate system troubleshooting data to the homeowner and designated service contractors, accessed through an easy to use online dashboard that enables quick, efficient diagnosis of potential issues.

Movers & Shakers
Paul F. Martin, senior director of Program & Business Development with the ASA Education Foundation, retired effective March 1. Martin was with the Foundation for 12 years, serving as its executive director for most of his tenure. “Paul has been an integral part of the success of our Foundation, and the industry will benefit from his significant contributions and leadership for years to come,” said ASA executive VP Michael Adelizzi. Martin will continue working on a project basis for the Foundation and be available to the membership to help them and other distribution professionals with their training needs on a consulting basis.
